PCAP Infrared (IR)
Activation method
PCAPStandard PCAP requires a conductive input like a bare finger or a specialized stylus.
IRIR registers any interruption of the light grid, meaning you can use thick gloves, a stylus, or even a credit card.
Accuracy & speed
PCAPPCAP delivers superior multi-touch performance, faster response times, and higher positional accuracy.
IRIR touchscreens are generally fine for menus or basic selections, but can be slightly slower and less precise for detailed interactions.
